About Power of 100 Women - Osceola River Valley

Power of 100 Osceola River Valley is a group of local women who are interested in supporting our community by contributing to the Osceola and St. Croix River Valley Area nonprofits. Our mission is to make a positive impact in a big way by working together to help our local nonprofits do and achieve great things. This website is designed to provide information about our organization, our events, and the causes we support. We invite you to learn more about us and join us in making a difference!

Answers to Frequently asked questions

How do I become a member?

Complete the Registration & Commitment Form, found under our 'Forms' tab. Email or mail as stated on the form. You are committing to an annual meeting, potentially biannual meetings based on our April 2024 Meeting Vote. At these meetings you will donate $100 to the chosen charity and pay the annual membership dues. The current membership dues are $20.

What happens at the meeting?

  • Third Thursday of April 6:00pm Social Hour, 7:00pm Power of 100 Event

  • Third Thursday of October 6:00pm Social Hour, 7:00pm Power of 100 Event

  • Location of the meeting will be announced one month prior to the event via email, Facebook announcement and web page. 

  • At the meetings, each member is responsible for their beverages. This is not part of the $100 donation or membership dues. 

  • Each nonprofit finalist will have an opportunity to make up to an 8 minute presentation and is allowed 2 minutes for questions. 

  • Members present will vote for their choice to win the impact award, must be present to vote. 

  • Votes are tallied that evening with the majority nonprofit being the award recipient.

How do I nominate a nonprofit?

  • Only our members nominate nonprofits to be considered. 

  • Of the nominated nonprofits, the board members determine which 3 nonprofits will present at the impact meetings.

  • Nonprofits are required to complete our nomination form and provide 2 years of financials with all information received at least 45 days before the impact meeting date. 

  • All organizations applying must provide proof they have a 501(c)(3) or 51(c)(19) nonprofit status and serve the Osceola/St. Croix River Valley area(s).

How is the donation awarded?

  • Each member makes their $100 payment payable to the chosen nonprofit. If Venmo is used for your payment, a group check is sent to the chosen nonprofit by Power of 100 Women Osceola River Valley. 

  • If you cannot be present at the meeting, make your check payable to the winning nonprofit and mail it to Nicole Bartley or Venmo @PowerOf100Osceola within 10 days. 

  • You are still responsible to complete your $100 donation even if you are unable to attend the meeting.
